The Power of God Through Ministry

I am on a roll today just thinking and letting God just enter my mind with great words and thoughts and I have seen and heard of a few things late and had some new ideas and I just want to share with you all just a little bit of what God has put on my mind.  For some time now I have been thinking about starting my own ministry specifically aimed at young women because there is just so much going on today in the lives of young women that really isn’t healthy or helpful for their spirit, mind, or body.  One day as I was sitting down talking to my fiance about some things that a couple of my old friends and I had gone through when were were younger and I God was speaking to me saying you and your friends’ testimonies could be so much help to so many other young ladies out in the world today.  So after a long thought process I came up with this idea to start bible studies at my house with any ladies that were willing to come out and hear the word of God and let Him just open their hearts and hopefully through doing this I could really spread the Gospel and give god the Glory and praise and worship he deserves.  Wee serve an awesome God one that really loves us! Christ is sooooooo faithful and so worthy to be praised.  A man who lived to serve God so perfect and so pure. A man who was made a sacrifice for us sinners and gave his life to save ours.  His own father CRUSHED him because on that cross he became the very thing God hated which was sin and it was a powerful thing he did that should make us feel so grateful and and so love first of all. How many of us can say that we would die for someone. How many of your friends would actually die for you?  Let me just say that God definitely still got the glory after doing this to his only begotten son and because of this we should all be bowing down to this Man.  A man who loved us so much he that he  paid a dreadful price for our sins. Then this man rose!!!!!!! And when he rose many did not believe this! He rose and lives eternally in heaven with his holy father!  He is the reason we live! He will be coming back and may of us are not prepared for this.  so many people are still drenched in sin thinking that they are going to make it to heaven but they are not.  Now I am in no way saying you should be saved so you can just go to heaven because then you are giving your life to Christ for the wrong reason.  Even if God sends you to hell you should fear him and love him and worship him, why? Because no matter what he will still be an awesome most powerful merciful graceful God and still be your master.  You get what you deserve and all of us are not going to be in heaven especially if our lives are not lived according to how God wanted us to live. Now, I bring up the Gospel because I want everyone to know that its the basis of our lives as Christians.  We cannot go on as Christians without knowing about  who Jesus was and who he came to be.  He is our savior and we need to know why and how.  Now, being a disciple to someone or a group of people is not an easy task. Jesus had 12 disciples and many of them went on to preach about Jesus and his miracles  and about the Gospel and they did this knowing that they could be persecuted, made fun of, mistreated and called liars and blasphemers and everything under the sun but these men were unashamed and they helped so many people see that Christ is real. In a ministry there should be discipleship also. We can’t have people leaving the ministry with empty minds and empty hearts.  They should be filled with the holy spirit and too many times we see a ministry that leads people especially young people no where towards the path of righteousness.  I feel that a ministry’s job is to show people how to live a life that is free of sin and to make sure that people receive the word of God in the best way possible and learn how to apply it to their lives.  In a ministry for young women I want to make sure that I am helping these ladies to learn about the true Gospel and to create a discipleship hopefully with some of them if not all.  I want to make sure first and foremost that I can relay the right message from God to these young women and let the holy spirit fill my heart and the hearts of the young women so that I can sink deeply into the word of God and help them to see how they can apply the word of God into their own lives.  A lot of times there is no reality in what a lot of pastors and ministers preach to these young women and therefore they begin to feel as if there is no connection between how they are living and what God says in the bible.  Through my testimonies I hope to get through to these women and in no way do I want to force into anything. But I do want to allow them to see what Christ has done for me in my life and how I overcame many things.  As I previously stated I want to start off with a bible study group and just have prayer meetings and things of that sort.  I want to start out with young women I know like my friends that have not quite accepted Christ into their hearts yet and those that think they’re Christians but they are still living carnal lifestyles.  And for those who are reading this I hope to maybe give someone the idea of starting their own bible study group or ministry.  I think there needs to be more Christians out there who are willing to do as God wants us to do which is spread the  Gospel.

Scripture of the day:  Matt 21:43-44

43 “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it. 44 And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.”

Craig Lewis and EX Ministries–What are you doing?!?!

Ok so I’m sure a lot of you have heard of G Craig Lewis and his EX Ministry and all of the videos he has out exposing a bunch of people in the music industry mainly hip hop artists and exposing pastors he claims are false prophets and such.  But I am not here to tell you about his videos and such I don’t even want to insult him or anything and he obviously does a great job exposing people so I am sure he isn’t new to what I am about to do; EXPOSE HIM!  So here is this pastor telling people about hip hop and why its bad and exposing pastors that have said and done things that contradict the word of God and go against the teachings of the bible.  Now i guess this man has good intentions but how am I to know that if he isn’t trying to tell anyone about being delivered or coming to Christ.  Most of his messages are about exposing artists like Jay Z and Kanye and even rappers that are preaching the gospel in their music like Lecrae.  I’ll admit I used to think this guy was speaking some truth and I actually agreed with a lot of what he was saying and he did back some of what he said up with scripture in some of the videos that I’ve watched. But when everything you say is all about exposing people and illuminati and even bashing hip hop calling it satanic you do your followers no favors by only highlighting the bad.  How are they to know how to be delivered from sin if all you talk about is not listening to secular artists cause they will lead people to hell.  Well duuhh we all know that secular music is not music that is of God.  But not all secular music is destructive to one’s spirit.  First of all how can he call hip hop satanic if its really just poetry with a beat behind it.  We should not judge the artist based of of the genre they are listed under but rather the content of the music they put out.  I had a huge problem when He started attacking Lecrae and Reach Records. First of all just to tell you a little bit about Lecrae and the Reach Records artists, the are all Christians and nothing the rap about has anything to do with worldly things.  They rap about desiring Christ and living of Christ and they even back up a lot of what they say with scripture.  The content of their music is what I wish young people now a days would listen to instead of popular hip hop that only talks about money sex drugs sensuality and even atheism.  The artists of Reach Records and other Christian artists have all done a great job ministering to a lot of people in ways that some pastors can’t what with all the corruption we have in churches today where pastors are leading most of their members straight to hell.  What makes Craig Lewis any different from those pastors if he isn’t teaching people anything about repentance or about the Gospel for that matter.  We can listen to this man expose people all we want but what good does that do a sinner who is looking to Jesus to come into his heart and change his life.  He also made a claim that he delivers people and he can’t be more wrong.  The only one who can deliver people from sin is JESUS!!! I once heard a sermon by Paul Washer who is one of the best pastors I have ever heard preach in my life, and I say “one of” because there are two other ones that are also very good by the names of John Piper and John McArther.  Either way Paul Washer said “You have the authority to tell [people] the Gospel, You have the authority to tell [people] how to be saved, You have the authority to teach [people] biblical principals of assurance, BUT You have NO authority to tell [people] they are saved! That is the work of the Holy Spirit!”.  Now its interesting that Paul Washer says this because they are so many pastors out there who are telling people they are saved but God did not give them the authority to do so.  Also they leave people stuck without any direction as to where do they go what do they do how do they do what they are suppose to do as a new creature in Christ.  That’s why there are so many Carnal Christians in the world today.  They are people who call them selves Christians but still live a very worldly lifestyle and don’t bear any good fruit.  Now, after watching this video I took away from it one very important question and it was “Can a Christian live in a continuous state of carnality all the days of their life and not bearing  fruit and truly be a Christian?” and the answer is “Absolutely Not”.  I say bring this up to say this: Craig Lewis is sitting here talking about how he delivers people but how if it is not your duty to do so!?  Also how can you sit and talk about what these people are not suppose to be listening to and who they aren’t suppose to follow and not tell them about any other sins and how they are not to be of this world and that they are suppose to be in their spiritual minds not the natural!! If they truly accept Christ in their hearts and can call themselves true Christians they would know not to listen to that kind of music in the first place. That should have been taken care of! Therefore all that’s left for him to do is to to preach the word of God and help steer the hearts and minds of Christians to God.  But I just pray that anyone who listens to this man and hangs on his every word knows that he isn’t teaching you anything valuable at all.  Learn all your lessons from the word of God and know that there are false prophets every where.

Desire: When is it good when is it bad?

Lately I have been struggling with the problem of desiring things that stray me away from Christ and my walk in my my faith.  I started going natural as are a lot of women these days but natural or permed it still takes a lot of work, time and money to maintain and because of that your work you do on your hair takes time ways from doing good works in your faith, takes ways time you should be spending growing in your faith and makes you spend spend spend while your money goes to waste on products that may or may not work instead of saving your money or using it for a good cause.  Now, before I started writing this I had no idea how to describe what I and others like me were doing.  And by the way, this does not only have to deal with hair alone; I’m talking about desiring what ever is outside of Christ; things that are mostly carnal and of this world. I was unsure of what I was going through until I came upon  a sermon by John Piper and he said something that made me feel CONVICTED! He was talking about being consumed with things so much that it seems you are trying to fill a void when really we should be consumed in Christ! I was so sure that God wanted to be to hear that message and I took it to heart.  Now that still didn’t stop me from desiring all that hair stuff or from being consumed in it.  But I realized that all this consumption and desire was for were things of this world.  Not to say that my hair is not mine and not on my head and I don’t need to take care of it for good hygiene’s sake but it was not and still isn’t necessary for me to be so into it like I am.  Today as I was looking for answers to my problems I read scripture after scripture after scripture and each one was leading me right to the one I needed at that moment.  I came upon an article or blog that gave me the very answer I was seeking and that is nothing but God showing me the truth! In this article the author describes how satin uses many things to deceive us. Even things we would never even think of.  He used an example of a husband working long hours which barely gave him time for his wife and children.  In this example a person’s job and desire for a large salary is satin’s way of keeping families broken a part.  If the man in this example turned to Christ instead of his Job his family would not be so badly broken.  It just shows how deceptive the devil is and how he can use anything and everything to try and turn one away from Christ and the things that are most important.  Scripture tells us in James 1:15 that when we give in to our own desires, we sin as a result of it and sin brings for death.  We cannot let the devil lead us away from Christ and that is what he has done to so many people for years and years. With technology, with clubs, with pornography, with capitalism, fashion and so much more.  His goal is to keep us as far away from Christ as possible.  If we allow him to do that we are allowing ourselves to be slaves to sin and also live a fast forgettable life that meant nothing.

Now, I mentioned filling a void and I just want to explain that because it might be confusing.  When someone feels that they are lacking in some area of their life whether it be love or confidence or what have you, they turn to other outlets and allow those things to fill that empty space in their lives.  If we call on Jesus he will always answer.  You have to open your heart and know that Christ is all you need and He will fill every single crack in your life.  I don’t mean give you material things but he will give  a lift spiritually and mentally.  Since God showed me all of this I have stopped sending in entries for the 31 haute days of hair contest where I could win a bunch of hair products because I realized I was letting it consume me. I have been wanting a hair steamer for a while now and this contest was one way  could get it free so I was gonna try for that but it turned into me entering daily and I was getting upset because I missed a day which was crazy.  Once again I just want to stress to you that you should be careful what you desiring or lusting after.  9 times out of 10 if it is not Christ its something that will bring you to sin.

Scripture of the day James 1: 13-14

13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.

31 Status Women

To the average women today they are on this “independent” status.  But what about being on that 31 status? The status that Christian women try hard to uphold.  There is no comparison to this woman; virtuous, kind, wise and her worth is far more than any diamonds rubies or pearls. Strength and honor are her clothing and she gives to those who are poor and to those who are in need. This woman takes care of her husband and her children and they honor her. Her husband trusts her with his heart and she does him no evil. Most of all she is God fearing(Proverbs 31:10-31) .  Every women should know their worth and I feel that starts with accepting who you are.  We were made along with men because God did not want man to be alone.  We serve a purpose we are not

here  just because God thought it would be cool for men to have a playmate.  But God had a better plan.  We are more than what men now a days plan to use us for.  We are not sex objects or some guy’s weekend mistress.  we are meant for much more.  The first man we should ever fall in love with is God and second our husbands.  We do not have to be married and for those who aren’t it is not a crisis.  Maybe God wants you to focus on being a better you.  He has greater plans for you and after all God is a jealous God and he provides for us in every single aspect of our lives and that includes love.  So why then do some of us feel that we have to gain so much (unwanted) attention from men.  I once heard a line out of a song by Lecrae that says “her self esteem is as low as her neck line”.   First of all too many young ladies today lack confidence.  He provides you with all the confidence you need and a if a man can’t look beyond your body to decide whether or not he wants to be with you then he is not worth your time or attention.  Now there are plenty of other things that a Proverbs 31 woman deals with aside from a man.  We should not be too focused on our outward appearance or anyone else’s for that matter.  A lot of us wear makeup and spend a lot of time on our hair and some women spend way too much time in the gym trying to make sure she doesn’t gain an ounce because she has to maintain a beach body all year around.  Some women even go through with plastic surgery to permanently get rid of flaws because they don’t want to live with the fact that no once is perfect.  Some girls fool people with a pretty face but her attitude and personality sucks.  Now, I’m not saying don’t do your makeup and don’t do your hair and don’t work out or anything like that but what I am saying is that our outward appearance is not our number priority nor should it be our main focus.  Jesus is the most important thing in a Proverbs 31 woman’s life.  Is makeup, hair, looks, finding men, or anything else that we consume ourselves with more  important than our lord and savior? I think not.  Just look at what he has done for us.  His father crushed him! He died on a cross for our sins and how do we repay him?  By staring at ourselves in the mirror and worrying about what we are going to wear to impress the person and that person and basically just thinking about ourselves. How can we be so vain? Especially when we know that this man put himself out of the picture when he saved our lives.  We should be praying and fasting and living according to our heavenly father’s word with Jesus as our prime example.  A proverbs 31 woman lives her life with such virtue and love.  She is not a woman of the world but a women of God.  She speaks ill of no one, slow to anger and she is always willing to give. She is unashamed and not easily deceived by anyone.  She respects her family, friends and herself.  A Proverbs 31 woman should know her worth and should always be modest.  I believe that every women who is struggling to uphold this status must meditate on the word of God and must trust in the lord and give her troubles to God to make sure she keeps her dignity and her head to the heavens.   Scripture of the day:  Proverbs 31: 30-31

30  Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.31 Give her of the fruit of her hands,
And let her own works praise her in the gates.

The Art of Giving

So as Christians we are not suppose to be hesitant to give or share for that matter.  But lately its like I have been allowing myself to fall into mood where I feel like my money is mine and I want to do what I want with it and when I get money I usually call it mine! especially if I get it for my birthday or something like that.  So the most recent situation that happened was that I got money for babysitting yesterday and My aunt gave me money for my birthday. I know my fiance needed money to pay a couple of his bills and I told him I would give him my baby sitting money to help him out.  I originally told him that I would pay the bill for him since he didn’t have the money.  I realize that as a soon to be married couple we really have to start getting used to the act of splitting everything 50/50.  So I gave him some of my birthday money on top of the babysitting money and I know I should not be holding dear to my money but I started feeling a little upset afterward that I gave away most of the money I received.  I think part of the reason I don’t like giving it away is because I feel like I’m not going to have any left for my own use and I don’t have job to make the money back and my fiance doesn’t always have money to give me because he has bills to pay and I technically don’t lol.  So I am working on saving the money I do have because most times i don’t need to spend I just want things and if I have the money I get it.  But it doesn’t always have to be that way and lately that has been my biggest issue.  I need to pray about it because I cannot go on buying things that I do not need; its not wise. As far as giving goes we should always give to those who ask and if someone needs to borrow something we are not suppose to turn them away (Matt:5:42). What that means is that we should not hesitate to give to those who are in need.  Even if we assume they may not need it for a good reason we should still be kind and give from our hearts.  Even though I know this, I still have to bare with my fiance and others because they may need it more than I do and I know I don’t have bills to pay.  I know if I needed the money my fiance would give it to me but I may want things that he may not want to give me money for which is why I prefer to keep money in my account for small purchases every now and then.  My point is that no matte what we should never hesitate to give or hold on to money as if our lives depend on it because it doesn’t.  Jesus is what our lives are about and money is just something we need to get by but we should not forget that God is our #1 provider.

Scripture for today: II Corinthians 9:7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

Hello! Being that this is my first post I figured I should just start by introducing myself. My name is Tisha and I am 20 years old.  I am from CT and I am a Christian.  Welcome to my blog, Deja Chosen Daily.  I am here to spread the word of God and as a Christian I have to walk with my cross on my back and make sure I am living my life according to what scripture says.  Now, that goes for everything including music, movies, tv shows, places I go people I associate with and so on and so forth.   My next blog post will get more into my faith and what it means to be a christian along with other things to help me get God’s word out like poetry, testimonies, videos of pastors I like listening to such as Paul Washer and John Piper and also a few Christian rap artists I like to listen to.  I realize that I am young but I do not feel that anyone is too young to live in the body of  Christ and I feel that when any of us die as Christians we should see it as dying for the lord.  Especially if we have done what we were suppose to do and lived according to what God said during our life time.  Jesus is the savior and the only way to get to the father is through the son and if you do not believe that or know that please pick up a bible and read! And pay attention to the times.  I notice that there are a lot of things happening in the world that are not explainable to those who are not reading their bibles.  Read revelations and most things that are said in revelations are happening right before us now.  I myself need to read revelations a bit more but I have no doubt that what is said is the truth.  A lot of people might not like what I have to say but I am only speaking the truth about God.  My life is not mine and nor is your life your own.  It is the God’s and the body he made for you belongs to him.  God bless you all and please read your bibles. I will leave you with the scripture for the day.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his wormanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
