Fasting is very important in the walk of Christians. Unfortunately after reading this I realized that fasting is something that I barely do. Truth be told fasting is more than just abstaining for food. Ultimately we fast to turn our attention back to God and die to ourselves and our desires outside of Christ. Christ fasted for a whole 40 days and was tempted by the devil and he never gave in because he knew what he was fasting for; the father. It was his purpose and his desire during that fast to Glorify God and seek Him. Daniel fasted ultimately to show that spiritual food would satiate him much more than earthly food. Fast not just from food but from anything that may be taking too much attention from God, like social media.
Great posy by my sister in Christ, Samantha.
